Aspy, I am officially pulling for Patch in the derby. He is at a disadvantage because he only has one eye (that might not be his only disadvantage. In reality, if he had 3 eyes he probably wouldn't win it).. He is going to win it on pure heart alone.

There are a crap ton of horses running with only 1 eye. He is nowhere near the first. Plenty have even run in the derby with either 1 eye or with no vision in an eye. Imperialism even ran 3rd with diminished vision. That's a stupid reason to like him.
Kenneth came out of his maiden win with an ulcer in his right eye, same thing that took Patch's. It's more common than you think. Thankfully his eye responded to treatment.
He's slow. This will be his 4th race. He was having to be asked to keep up with Tapwrit at work speed this week which is not race speed. He drew 20 so he won't be able to see any of the horses to his inside.

There's a little meat & three cafeteria joint called Cedar House down the road from my office. Place looks like it's not been updated since about 1974 and the last I heard their health dept. rating was like 70something.
But they've got one of the best damn spaghetti & meatball plates I've ever had.
