I've done it a few times. Enjoyed it each time. The best times were in Ft Walton Beach Florida. My buddy and I lived with 4 women, 3 white and 1 black.

Why would black be a problem? That's absurd.

Female is a terrible idea though

Fwiw, I went to Ole Miss. You sound the one she should be worried about.

I do not find blacks attractive at that level. I did a background check and she cleared. She is a grad student at Ole Miss. She is from South Africa and spent the last eight years in Omaha, NE. This is not the normal black girl.

This isn't gonna work.

WTF is all this shite? Social stigma? It's not like you're marrying each other.

I am not interested in a debate on what is right or what is wrong socially, and the OP did not ask a question about that...he asked about a very specific situation in a very specific locale and I gave him my opinion based on my experience.

I didn't mean to come on that strong. It's more of a comment on Oxford instead of you.

to be totally honest, I have been around oxford a bit and frankly, wouldn't want to deal with the social stigma that would result...Oxford is a very small and very tight knit town and rumors would fly about the two of you the day you arrived in town that would just add unnecessary complexity to both of your lives...

You have no idea what you're talking about. None. Zero.

I lived there for 6 years. Its a South African grad student that is his roommate. He isn't bringing a hoodrat black chick to rush parties and trying to get a bid.

understand...no offense taken, man...

Oxford is a very small, and very conservative town located deep in the bible belt...as a guy moving to town and taking a new job there, I just wouldn't want to deal with all of the gossiping and speculation that invariably goes on in such places...

As a white male I'll go on record as not wanting to live with the op. Not due to race or gender though. Just because he sounds dumb. I don't want to live with dumb people.

This world traveling, bill paying, background check passing, grad student might be a better bet though.
