Possibly...Picking up E-8 in under 15 years is a common thing in my rate..I agree though, that the next 5 could lead to nothing

I made E-8 at about the 17 1/2 year point. Back in my era you had to wear the stripe 2 years to keep it. I obviously don't know if that's still the case today.

Enlisted. My choices are

1. Contracting
2. ATC
3. Airborne Intel
4. Network Intel
5. Nuke
6. Public Affairs
7. Comptroller

At the moment

Network Intel or Nuke will probably make you the most money when you get out. I'd still go officer though if I were you.

I am an IAR. The job is not that hard to get.

So try anyway. The worst thing that happens is that they tell you no thanks, try enlisted side.
