Valid point. The war on poverty was a bigger failure than the way on drugs. One could argue that lessons were learned from its failure, but different time and place.

It's not my ideal solution and it's not yours either, but we can both agree it's not horrible.

I got something the government could do cap welfare for mothers that have more than three kids. Tell them after 3 kids the benefits don't go up. I bet they would quit having them. Raise the 3 kids they birth and raise them not pawn them off to schools, juvenile homes, etc. The Whole PROBLEM Is THAT These Children Are Numbers and statistics unfortunately most are dead or inmates later in life.

frick that. If you have three kids and you're on welfare, then you shouldn't be raising three kids and they need to be taken away from you. They don't stand a chance and this cycle will continue.

I'm all about social safety nets and helping people who need it, but it has to be in the best interest of society. Poorly raised kids benefit no one.

I agree. Unfortunately our government has enabled this whole class that is dependent on handouts and each generation gets better at manipulating the system we have in place. Like I said previously the two work hand in hand we give you free shite and in turn you vote for us. This not a color issue either their both white and black people that would rather depend on government assistance then go get a real job. Hell you can't blame them the government allows it. The media just fuels the fire on both sides.

I understand how it does work, I'm talking about the changes I'd like to see for the way it SHOULD work. If a program doesn't benefit society then it's not a social safety net, it's a suicide pact.

Have you seen how bad DCS is in the US? Most foster parents are doing the exact same thing. They get a check for each kid they take in.
