We had soda machines with beer at our barracks in Okinawa back in the 90s.

Anytime I see one of these, I'm immediately transported back to the Bon Marche Piccadilly in the 1980s.

Much is made of the word's two spellings: whisky and whiskey. There are two schools of thought on the issue. One is that the spelling difference is simply a matter of regional language convention for the spelling of a word, indicating that the spelling varies depending on the intended audience or the background or personal preferences of the writer.

I grew around Franklin. There were beer vending machines around when I was young.

Am I wrong or was there a beer vending machine on Ship Island in the early 1970's? We went there (rode the ferry) and I think there was a beer and a coke vending machine out there, maybe I'm dreaming.

Bring back the 25 cent slop machines from Howell or City Park golf courses first. Those were awesome.
