In order to prove how vicious the pitbull breed is, I submit a gif of a totally different breed being vicious.
Maybe pits are considered so dangerous because people like the OP don't know what a pitbull is and label every vicious dog as a pit.

Growing up, my best friend did have 5 of them. I would spend the night over there all of the time. They were so sweet and so much fun. When all of the stories about pit bulls came out in later years, my mother freaked out when she realized that was the breed that my friend's family had. A little too late.
