I completely get where you are going with this...we shut down the country...have tested over 10% over 5 months and right now have only confirmed 0.8%....yes we all know that number is bigger, but none of those knew they had it...who cares if thousands are walking around with it? Only matters for calculation of death rate -- way way lower...take out that half have died in nursing homes and that rate drops even lower
My strategy would be open everything 100% up...lock down nursing homes, 65+ with comorbality shelter in place, obese shelter in place
