Insurance has to be one of the easiest entreprunerial businesses to get into, the least risky, and the fastest way to make REAL money, and gets ignored by everyone who SAYS they are willing to work get rich.
It's okay if you don't want to sell it, but you're kidding yourself if think the opportunity isn't there.
It's a wide-open road for wealth, just waiting for you. There's plenty of companies that will let you start selling for them immediately... cause they KNOW people are going to buy it. They just need someone repping them, today, right now.
Specialize in one thing. Go sell it. Learn another thing as you go. In the 4 years you could be goofing off at LSU, you could be an insurance specialist and making a good living instead of racking up loans.
(and no, I'm not an agent/broker etc, but wish I'd stuck with it as a younger man)
It's not glamorous until your friends realize how far ahead you are of them, and how little you're working as you both get older.
