Remember we (us folks fighting to win our redemption here on this battleground we call earth) are the Church Militant. They (my deceased family members, friends, and acquaintances who have won their merited crown) are the Church Triumphant.
It is a natural human urge to want to share good and joyous news with friends. Absolutely the joy of winning the beatific vision will not be the only joy is real.
There is a scene in the true life story "Heaven Is For Real" where Colton encounters his sister in heaven. The sister his parents lost when she had a miscarriage. So Colton is telling his Mom about the vision. He tells his mother this young red headed girl kept wanting to hug him - it was his sister, the sister his mom miscarried.
I lost it during that scene. I know the sorrow that a lost child can cause a woman because my wife and I lost a baby through miscarriage also (it would have been our first baby). So I console myself in the knowledge that when (and if) I make it to heaven, I just might feel someone tugging at my sleave and turn around to see this beautiful glowing young woman or young man smiling at me and telling me - hello daddy, I've been waiting for you. That moment will be a joyous reunion for sure.
True, this is all speculation on my part - but Jesus did say - Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has it so much as entered into the mind of man what our heavenly father has prepared for those who love him. - (1 Corinthians 2:9)
Who am I to put limits on how God chooses to give us the joys of heaven .
Domine Deus, me cognovisti et amasti cum in anima matris meae essem. Amen.
