Is there another set of rules they should be going by?
the computer lacks the ability to notice that everyone was letting the woman cross their lanes. its still her fault but a human (one that is paying attention) may be better equipped here. i agree.
i also think that a retard would be worse than the computer car

Seems to me we need to get rid of women drivers and keep driverless cars.

So in other words because humans don't follow the rules, a human driver can spot it better?

These numb nuts defending the woman fail to see the fact that the woman hit the uber car, not the other way around.

The issue here is not self-driving cars, it is human drivers. In the future when all cars are self-driving, this will not be an issue.
There will be no need even for traffic lights.

i guess you are oblivious to these scenarios like the computer was.
must be nice to not notice shite going on around you.

By your posts, you're probably 60+ so your opinion doesn't really matter on this issue.

Driving is not a right...
Said by DWI advocates everywhere.
Also, I doubt it will be a choice for individuals to make. All they have to do is null and void all drivers licenses by a certain date and mandate only autonomous vehicles on the road.

Where in this picture does it show you "everyone" was letting her cross and how exactly you would have done much better consider the woman hit the car as it was passing? You would have gotten her attention better?

Cole managed to drive across the first two lanes, which were backed up with cars, and thought she was clear to cross the third.
sounds like it was heavy traffic and the drawing doesn't depict this

Ok then I'll just drive and lets see if the computerized cop cars can give chase.

So the Uber was doing 38 mph in heavy traffic? Ok....
Posted on 3/30/17 at 11:29 am to RedRifle
Not even advanced robots can predict women drivers

The same people that buy cars now.
The real people that are worried about this technology are the insurance companies and the popo. No tickets, no reasonable suspicion for a stop, much fewer accidents on the roads...
I mean maybe I am missing the downsides here?

No, but 100 years ago, you would have been on the Horse and Buggy Council of America.
