I was just having a conversation with somebody about depression last night. Even moderate depression for a long enough period of time, say just a month, can be absolutely brutal. I couldn't and wouldn't want to imagine what 3 years of what she was going through were like. I also can't imagine allowing my 19 year old daughter to end her life. Im at a loss on this one, truly.

So, blanket statement, I think suicide of healthy, functioning people is both wrong and a sin.

But, having watched a few people waste away from cancer or old age similar, there should be a path to be able to euthanize in certain circumstances.
Having watched my FIL waste away in a nursing home, I told my wife to not let me get in that shape. Give me tons of pills to take and tell the authorities I took them myself.
