The Paralympics are awesome. I've often advocated attending those instead of the regular Olympics. You get to see all the infrastructure for the games without the super crushing crowds. And the athletes are more inspiring.
When we had them in Atlanta it was a blast. The opening ceremony was awesome and the guy that lit the cauldron (Mark Wellman) did it by climbing up the side of the tower.
