Now, within those that have these advantages, you can add more individual traits like ambition, determination, hard work etc.

Yeah, I'll bet you define success differently than most of the population.

That is true about family connections but on the other hand providing better opportunities for your kids is in the top 3 reasons people strive harder so I don't understand why people (not saying you) sneer so much about successful people's kids. Why would I strive to be successful for my kids to start out even with everybody else?
