I think outer defenses are our best bet. It needs to be very very beefy. I mean, zombies aren't going to strategically remove barriers from their path, but they also don't tire, so the defenses will receive a constant pounding. Concrete is our best friend here I think.

But what do you think about the Stryker? Good choice, no?

Sure.

Also, for those who asked about Mike's habitat...from the original Manifesto:
quote:

Keep up. We are going to quarantine people that want in in Mike's habitat until we decide whether or not they are undead. Once they are cleared by Putty based on obvious attributes, we bring them in with covering fire. Anyone that does not comply with going to the habitat until they are cleared is on their own.

We will have Tiger Sharks and Makos then. They eat everything.

I believe Ft. Polk would be a necessary stop. They would have all of the supplies necessary to keep up the fight. Weapons, vehicles, fuel, MRE's, etc.

I would say the odds are just as good or better than obtaining a hovercraft.
I don't believe a hovercraft has the necessary escapability/acceleration for this operation. I'd prefer Vietnam style swift boats

I like the idea of Tiger Stadium as a Safe zone, but it sure would take a lot of work to get it impenetrable. All entrances from the Workout rooms and Athletic building would need to be sealed early.

We could mount a flamethrower on an armored bank vehicle

That's not a bad idea. I doubt the ensuing flames would hurt the truck at all.

Hell yeah. Shallow draft for getting up shallow creeks, mounting spots for 2 .50 cal machine guns, and multiple M-60 guns and M-203 grenade launcher.

Too top heavy and IMO not fast enough. But, it wouldn't be a bad choice.

Yeah but if I'm moving from place to place I want to be on the road as little as possible. Plus once the roads get overgrown and shite is all over the streets (telephone poles/cars, etc.) you would need a vehicle capable of pushing it aside, rolling over it, and not getting stuck.

I doubt that.

What happens to a zombie after it re-dies?

so, per the GZM, we eventually get all survivors on a cruise ship. That way we can stay mobile and the zombies cannot attack us there.

That was actually proposed by Goose.

You forgot the high rake and ample horsepower on those things that would allow you plow through large masses of floating zombies.

I would allow like to mention the fact that some large sea-worthy platform should be commandeered to set up an ocean-going HQ. If things get out of hand, a little R&R and some deep sea fishing could do us all some good. Obvious suggestions would be an aircraft carrier or ice-breaking research vessel.
