The benefactor is obesity research, which is ironic.

Should be a good time if the weather holds up.

The Capital City Seafood Festival committee is pleased to announce the first annual Capital City Seafood Festival to the state capital, Baton Rouge, LA and the surrounding areas. As we continue to work with organizations, and schools within East/West Baton Rouge parishes, as well as Ascension Parish, through the encouragement of physical activity within our schools and child care facilities to raise money towards the fight against childhood obesity. Having worked with many organizations in the past, we are extremely excited about our contribution for many years to come. The festivities will be based at the Baton Rouge State Fairgrounds, 16072 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, La 70817, Saturday and Sunday, September 1-2, 2018.

We will showcase a variety of amusement rides and amazing food vendors that represents an array of Southern Louisiana Cuisines to caterer to festival goers of all ages. This venue will allow sponsors and vendors to promote their brand to a diverse amount of people, in a minimal amount of time. With an anticipated 10,000+ festival patrons over this Labor Day weekend, this event will attract people to Southern Louisiana, for many years to come.

Not the way most people in the south eat it, but yeah...there should be a pretty wide variety of it there.

There's basically what amounts to a seafood festival every time there is a home game.

They should have preceded that with "back by popular demand..."
How the hell can something be "the first annual"? I thought an occurrence would have to happen at least twice before it could be considered an annual event.
