I’m not getting a $500 check but I currently have guys completely redoing my roof and repainting my house for about $1k because they got insurance to pay for it all after the recent hail storms.

I didn’t seek it out; they came to my door saying their drone saw damage on my roof and gave me a quote to replace my roof and repaint my entire house on top of that. All for $1k. I accepted the quote and I’m not asking them any more questions.

ETA: I’m in north DFW. McKinney.

How hard is it to get into the insurance adjusting profession? I’m 56 and can travel at will, currently in the L.A. area. Retired and sold my business in January and looking for something to do.

Recommend or not? Tips?
