verizon worked perfectly before during and after Ida

I was in Houma and the Bayou parishes during Ida, all cell companies shite the bed.

Verizon lasted longer at first, but then failed like the rest. Then they would take turns working. AT&T would work then Verizon would go down. In some areas, Verizon had coverage, then other areas had AT&T. AT&T did launch first net in some areas after the storm, but that was useless to me.

What was the switch for me with AT&T was that after the storm, I had very slow data service on Verizon at my home in South Lafourche and could not make or receive calls inside. AT&T worked better with data, and I could receive calls inside.

T-Mobile is still having issues. Someone I know with it could not make calls on the main drag between Houma and Thibodaux last week.

Using the Verizon spin off Visible. Pretty satisfied with it for what I pay. Unlimited hot spot (capped) but i can run a roku in our RV and can maintain HD with it. There's a big hole west of San Antonio out to San Angelo so that's a damper when we hit the road to the mountains.

I’ve had Verizon ever since the bastards bought Altel out and shut down the warehouse I was managing. Anyway, I’ve been all over the country never had any issues except out west Wyoming, Utah and places like that.

It seems AT&T, and Verizon are pretty much the same prices are all relative these days.

OTR trucker here - if you're traveling a lot in the country, Verizon has the best 4g and I've had no issues with them east of the MS River. There are issues with them in rural OK/KS/NE/SD/ND/NV/WY/MT because of how remote that part of the country is. Their 5g could use some work and I've heard other carriers are better for that.
