Cops are too stupid? Is that your point? for you.
No, the point is cops can't refuse service...they can't say...I'm not gonna do my job because there is a big mean dog over there.
So comparing them with other professions that are able to refuse service makes no sense.

Loud music. Shoot dog. Shoot teen. Job done.
Stupid beyond comprehension.

Well, wait up a second. Story said it was a pit bull, had bit one cop, was restrained, escaped restraining, and was charging cops again when cop shot it. That's vastly different than what you wrote.
Terrible the child was accidentally killed while this was going on, but the cops decision to shoot the dog was fine by me.

You did not follow the convo.
But since you introduced it, the dog is unarmed. Not a rabid wild animal on the loose. On his property not provoking/initiating the situation, doing what dogs do. Dog used his limited brain. Cop lacked one.

Yes...in many places they do.

Cop goes into dogs house
Dog does what most dogs would do when intruder comes into house
Dog owner actively attempts restraining dog from doing what most dogs do
Cop shoots dog
So if someone busted into your house and your dog went after him and the guy shot him that's okay by you?
The dog doesn't know the difference between a cop and a bad guy, just someone busting in who's unwelcome

I can just picture this scene. Ignorant jacked up cops shooting wildly at a running dog amidst a crowd of people. Great training, really great.
