I’ve worked in that neighborhood a bunch. As with most places around there I always carry a loaded gun. My guess is you’re right, the guy was busy holding the door and his wife was busy keeping the kids safe, there was no way he could’ve safely taken the killer out without letting the door lose or his wife not watching the kids. Sad but probably what happened.
