I suppose I did! I guess I thought that more people would be familiar with him because of his local ties.

In the book, something is in the local water supply that has the side effect of making people crazy, and makes women sexually promiscuous in a submissive, female animalistic way. I read it when I was a young man, and the images it conjured, well, let's just say that I was looking for some love connections after reading it!

I think he was a great writer, but truth be told, I'm not at all a "well read" individual. I've just been around longer than the majority on this board!
