Woodlawn late 80s-early 90s did too. She caught me with a a can of sprite & gin between classes.
She grinned and shook her head.
Then quietly told me go to the bathroom and pour it out and bring back the empty can. I went and chugged it and brought back the can to toss in trash by her.

shite some of the best teachers I had were sauced in class.
Had an 8th grade science teacher that reeked of whiskey and skoal. Bought a 4 wheeler from him a couple years later in high school. How that old baw became a teacher I’ll never know.
