Taxes on food? (BR, LA)

Stopped by Whole Foods on the way home and just noticed that the tax on tiramisu is 3% but the tax on pizza is 10%. Both were made in store, both are baked goods, seems curious to me that the government would differentiate between the two. Can someone explain the difference in tax?

I like how the pizza isn't exempt, but all the ingredients for the pizza are.
What if I called it a pie?

Was your pizza cooked/prepared? You could have saved 7% if you bought the one uncooked/unprepared and cooked it yourself.
