Which songs are those again?

Whatever, keep your daughter sheltered from every little thing, I hear that works out real well when they get older.

If staying away from that skanks show and saving thousands mean I'm a clown, then yes, you're right

Good job daddy.

Nah.

The push back is from the same handful of people (fathers assumedly) who dropped a few grand on tickets for their daughter, and then because of some weird need for validation, get defensive when anything critical of her is posted.

Taylor Swift is the 2020s version of Madonna. Guess what? Not everybody cared for her back then either. I wonder if ‘80s dads were as defensive about that as the ones here? Probably not.

This dude might have a heart attack if he saw and heard some of Sabrina Carpenter's songs...

Let alone Madonna from 40 years ago and Christina Aguilera like 25 years ago.

Taylor Swift is PG in comparison

I don't think this is a really good comparison at all

All state athlete in hs. College sophomore in nursing, ambition to be NA, and or NP. Lives in her own duplex she owns, which funds her roth yearly, are age 20.

I could go on about how you "hear that works out well"...but I'd imagine she's ahead of what you thought shelter would do.
Sheltered isn't the word. Ingrained self confidence is what matters. So when she's 30, sure she'll still enjoy music and dancing, she just won't feel the urge to drag her young girls to a skanks show, so she can earn respect from them.

I know what works in my world, again, you do you. Glad you enjoyed Swift!

It is the exact opposite of that. All these threads are elongated by teh same handful of douchebags that just can't accept that others people choose to spend their money on things they wouldn't. There's no reason for this thread to still be going, but yall really just can't help it.

That doesn't mean you have to repeat your dislike over and over and over and over and over,. We get it, you don't like the thing. Move on. Or don't, since you clearly seem incapable.

I don't say this to be offensive or anything, but its highly likely your daughter has danced with friends to the song Wet arse Pussy if she's in that age category.

Taylor Swift might as well be the Mickey Mouse club in comparison to some of the trash out there

Sounds like she's exactly where I thought she'd be.

Daddy's little angel has almost certainly twerked on stage at a bar to the lyrics "bring a bucket and mop for this wet arse pussy" and this dude is melting down about a 30 something year old future cat lady singing about breakups

Madonna's whole image was provocative and slutty. That isn't Taylor Swift at all.

I don't think Madonna and Taylor Swift are really similar at all. Sure both female singers that were/are a big deal but...

Really not similar. Madonna was extremely shocking 40 years ago and was very very openly sexual from the start. Swift has never really been like that much.

Absolutely, no doubt. I'm not offended.
But when she was 9, I never had the urge to take her to see those artists in concert.
Swift isn't as bad as some...but she is a anti Christian and on stage doesn't represent herself well.
No disrespect, but a hard pass for me when my daughter was at a young Impressionable stage.

...how?

I don't follow pop music much and maybe I am not as in tune as you guys, but I do feel for a 40something year old I am generally in the loop.

This concept has never entered my mind.

There is absolutely nothing in her shows that would tell you this. No satanic imagery, no religion bashing. Nothing. You're just an ignorant dumbass. And your daughter almost assuredly doesn't share your opinions on Tay Tay btw, even if she lies to you and says she does.

Yes, Taylor is well known for her modesty.
