Suspect wounded in standoff with OPSO, taken to local hospital

OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Glenn Springfield with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to attempted break-in on Rader Drive.
He says when they arrived a shot was fired from a long gun at deputies. Deputies returned fire.
Officials are now reporting that the suspect was wounded. They say he then surrendered and has been taken to a local hospital.
The name of the suspect has not been released.
State police will take over the investigation.
