Suspect injured in shootout with Slidell Police
SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) -
A suspect was injured Friday night after exchanging gunfire with a police officer during an armed robbery in Slidell, according to a police spokesman.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to an armed robbery in progress near the area of Gause Boulevard and Rue Rochelle Drive. The suspect and officers exchanged gunfire. The suspect was injured and taken to an area hospital.
No officers were injured during the incident.

That area seems ok, Chick Fil A is right down the street. Trying to rob Mr. Joe's on a Friday night.

I was just down across the street as it went down. I jokenly said listen to the gunshots. Then I realized it really was gunshots. Then heard a few zings go buy us. Then all out shooting happened. That's when we left. Cops were flying down gause. When we got on gause we realized we were front and center. Saw one guy down in the parking lot next to mr joes and one guy down next to a truck at the entrance to mr joes on gause. I just kept going

Slidell has gone downhill since katrina. The thugs from NOLA come over here and trying to cause trouble. Unlike New Orleans, Slidell and St. Tammany will not stand for that crap.
