Stopping people from flying in the U.S.

If the CDC really wanted people to not fly home for Thanksgiving, why didn't they cancel flights? Think about it. What's the end game here?

like cigarettes are bad! And we should make them illegal and how much do we make off cigarettes in taxes? And a small % of smokers never collect SSI

Best reason is the CDC doesn't control airplane traffic.
