Which is cheaper to do? Stained concrete floors or put flooring in? House flooded and was trying to think ahead as to what we wanted to do.

How long has your house been there? If it's a new house, and will possibly settle a lot, concrete floors are a no no.

I'm not an expert on the subject but it's probably a little cheaper.

Tile/wood floors will be 5-10$ a SF

I think you can get stained concrete floors about 3-5$ depending on the desired finish. The expensive part is that they are going to have to grind and polish the concrete plus saw cut designs in it.

Stained floors are a nightmare if they get wet, if you have kids or plan to skip this.

You'll prob have to do a stained concrete overlay which will cost around $4-6 sf pending on what you want to do. Contact Squarefootdesignla.com

These guys did a great job on my place.

Laminate you can get around 2 sqft and just do it yourself. Super easy. Tongue and grove.
