Sri Lankan officials nab gold smuggler

Customs officials found 400g of gold - or four gold bars - inside the man’s rectal cavity which was worth about £10,000.
He was seen “walking suspiciously” by officers at Bandaranaike International Airport about 22 miles north of the city of Colombo.
The 42-year-old man said he worked for a government ministry in Sri Lanka. It is understood he had been having difficulty walking while trying to smuggle the gold bars.
