Oh I'm sure this kid has a screwed up home life. Apparently the mom is on jail or was in jail. And he lives in an affluent neighborhood. Kids act out when they're hurting. I get that. But usually not like this at 13. He was arrested for breaking into houses in his neighborhood. Not small time stuff. You're a product of your environment for sure but at some point you have to make a conscious choice to either do right or be a delinquent.

I agree. But at 13 he's still a child. It's sad when they get lost in the cracks. The coaches may have him in football for reasons that are beneficial but not obvious to outsiders. Role models, social reasons, conformity, etc. it may be the only structure he has.

I'm pretty sure that's what it is but they need to do a better job off the field. Football can't be everything and I don't think it'll save this kid if he's still allowed to be a POS in every other aspect.
