Once all vehicles are autonomously driven, Will I still need accident insurance?

I dont think we are going to see personal vehicles that only run in auto pilot mode for a long time . Most I assume will allow and require some level of driver control for the foreseeable future.

Understand saying and doing are completely different, but my take from
Those articles was that musk expected Teslas to be fully autonomous next year. Pretty unfathomable, but then again a lot of what they are doing was unimaginable a few years ago too

This is going to be a political hot potato- a lot of people have a lot to lose when cars become autonomous.

DWI Lawyers/bail bondsmen will lose clients and revenue, law enforcement and municipalities get a double whammy (loss of speeding tickets/revenue and loss of reasonable suspicion to pull over anyone meaning less drug busts and civil asset forfieture)- I am sure I can think of more thats just off the top of my head atm.

Eta: Car insurance will go down, judges won't be needed to hear cases, jail populations will reduce, lowering staff requirements...

You'll definitely need life insurance...
