Sookie Jane and other Legends

The Redbone story got me thinking about the legend of Sookie Jane. I remember my mom would warn me not to venture out too far when I was a kid 'cuz Sookie Jane was going to cut me up into little pieces.

All I got growing up was the weekly talk about not talking to strangers online. Modern upbringings are so boring

I remember the MonkeyMan lived in the woods where we weren’t supposed to go. He lived in an old cabin and came around at night and peeled in kids windows If they didn’t go to sleep when were supposed to.
