Exactly. 2020 is apparently the designated year to clean up the gene pool. How the frick do you get run over by a float or a tandem float, if the float is in it's designated space (street) and YOU are in YOUR designated space (sidewalk). Its 100% impossible - you are physically not occupying the same space.

UNLESS, it was some form of premeditated suicide. Mardi Gras parades have been rolling since 1857. This is TWICE this year something like this has happened. Maybe the victim thought he was different. Maybe he could occupy the same designated space at the exact same time as the big tandem Mardi Gras float and come out on the winning side. If that's the case, frick it, he's on his own. But I wouldn't rule out suicide.

Those are the only 2 possibilities that my brain can calculate when you hear a story like this.

Who decides they want to commit suicide by jumping in front of a float? It doesn't seem like it would have a high success rate.

I was there when the NYX death occurred. Horrible for the family. I don’t understand why people try to cross between tandem floats. Can’t tell you how many people - some with their kids - I literally blocked from crossing the street when a float was right there.

Honestly, when I hear rumblings about a major story and it’s not on the main OT page with a 6+ page thread, then I assume it isn’t real news.
My brother was on canal and texted that he thinks someone got ran over. Couldn’t find aanything on twitter or Nola or fox8.

OT was 8 pages deep

It's a goddamned crime scene at this point.

Let’s just tone this down a bit, Bosch. Some dude jumped in front a float.
