Don’t get me wrong. I love the Tundra. I’ve got a 5.7 Tundra that I’ve had for years. I handed it down to my son when he turned 16 three & a half years ago. It’s a great truck, solid as a rock, even with a quarter million miles on it.
But yet, again, as I’ve said repeatedly, an import brand, even one assembled in the US, isn’t an option as per the parameters set by my company.

Get at least an SLT with the 10 speed Allison and no worries. My 2020 Sierra is so smooth you can hardly tell it shifts. The 8 speed is the problem child.

For a half ton GMC all the way but if you go 3/4 ton it’s hard to beat a Power Stroke. I’ve got a 2020 King Ranch F-250 and I love it.
