Lots of nasty people,sure he coughed or sneezed in the food.
Wife and I were invited to party at a Dr’s house,one of the nasty flickers (Dr.) was double-dipping,even saw him licking his fingers and then reach back into the chips.

It was 9 people whom live in China

They were probably sharing the meal in a space the size of a Smart car, so pretty easy to understand it being spread relatively easy

Smallpox spreads if you walk into a 10x15 room with a sick one.

We do not know enough yet to speak definitively how 9 got it but one sneeze could have done it.

Heres one way:
Sick person goes to mouth with hand.
Touches ladle.
Everyone else then touches ladle. No boiling involved.
