Designing rockets isn’t easy. It’s as hard as, well, rocket science.
The speed at which they are rolling these things out to the pad to launch is incredible.

Per Elon:

Standing down SN11 until probably Monday. Additional checkouts are needed. Doing our best to land & fully recover.

@elonmusk FAA inspector unable to reach Starbase in time for launch today. Postponed to no earlier than tomorrow.

This is why he is exploring launching at sea in the future. Less paperwork.

This government can’t get out of its own way. Pathetic.

Starship SN11 waiting with flaps extended for its turn to fly this morning. Hopefully tomorrow everything will line up. @NASASpaceflight

Per Christian Davenport Twitter:
quote:
Here’s how the Starship/FAA-inspector thing went down, according to a person familiar: The inspector was in Boca last week, waiting for SpaceX to fly. It didn't, and he was told SpaceX would not fly Monday (today) or possibly all of this week bc it couldn’t get road closures. So he went home to Fla. On Sunday, SpaceX was able to get road closures and they emailed the inspector to come back. But he didn’t see the email. Finally SpaceX got through to officials on the phone late Sunday night, but by then it was too late to get someone there by today. In an attempt to be more efficient, the FAA has been waiting for SpaceX to complete a static fire, before sending the inspector so that he isn’t just waiting around. But it’s a fast-moving test program, and they’re swapping out engines and making changes on the fly. And so the FAA put in its statement that SpaceX “must provide adequate notice of its launch schedule.”

t-minus 8 minutes, but i doubt it launches until the fog clears.

Pretty sure it hit the ground hard. So damn foggy you can’t see anything. But on one of the cameras there was debris flying around.
Posted on 3/30/21 at 8:09 am to WhuckFistle
i don't think it ever made it to the ground. i thought it exploded on it's way down.
Posted on 3/30/21 at 8:13 am to finchmeister08
SpaceX blew it up. You could seen debris raining down in camera.
Could of blown itself up as well.

Ah that would make more sense. Didn’t have the audio turned on so I was going by the video feeds.

Maybe the aliens blew it up

ooks like it could happen. Static fire is complete and the pad is still clear.
This is the kind of stuff that can restore America’s spirit again.
