is he the oldest?

i'm the oldest and i can vouch there is always some shite wiht the oldest child.

I think because the oldest gets "practiced" on and the parents are usually younger so theyre more selfish, are struggling financially and dont know what the frick lifes about yet.

My sisters fiancé is a registered sex offender in Mississippi, the bad part is that he came around my family for over a year before I found out. That's put a wedge between us that I don't see getting better anytime soon.

Money, greed and lies cause many family relationships to sever. Love is a blind thing and the above things can rip love to pieces.

Hurt last a lifetime. Most all of us have it, some hide it, others announce it.

Take the relationships you have in life that are good and invest in them. Life is short, goes fast.

My grandmother used to say "just pray for them, sometimes that is all you can do"

I don't agree with my sister's lifestyle and from the first conversation when she told me they were dating I made it clear. I also said I love you and you are my sister. She already lives 8 hours away and I have small kids. I can't hop in the car and make it over easily. She got mad we couldn't fly out to San Francisco for the wedding at the last minute. It went downhill from there.

Man, I can't believe how lucky I've been with my family. 2 brothers, and from youngest to oldest 5 years apart. We usually post in a group message almost everyday, but at least talk weekly, and make a point to have dinner or drinks in some capacity. We all have different personalities, and can sometimes get in each other' nerves, but I couldn't imagine having a falling out with any of them.

My immediate family was admittedly never close. I talk to my sister on holidays only. I dont dislike her or anything, but its just how my family was.

As a result, I think I'm going to go over the top with family unity when i have one of my own one day

I try my best not to talk to my sister, but sometimes it is required. She is a bat shite crazy drama queen and it drives me up the damn wall. She gets it honestly, from my father. You don't want pics of either one.

Yea he is the oldest of only us two. We had a rough childhood with him battling being bullied so much to where we had to switch schools in 6th grade. He was always getting in huge fights at the house with my parents. Was diagnosed bipolar and he would self medicate. I think my mom said something to him once about ruining the family in one of their fights and that's what did it. Now he will not speak to her ever. Pretty shitty.
