It’s standard if you’re being out on a blood thinner and it’s not pill or IV. I’ve had 3 cardiac ablation and each time had to give myself Lovenox (I think that was it) injections in the stomach for 3 days prior to the procedure

Been going on for years. DVT prophylaxis is given to all patients unless contraindicated or refused.

Anti coagulant and it does not feel great
