I feel so sorry for these fast food managers. I stopped by a Sonic last weekend to see if I could witness any OT baws fighting. The lady taking my order asked me to repeat my entire order 6 times. Then it took 15 mins for the manager to come out and apologize for it taking so long. I asked her what was taking so long. She said that her crew decided to call in sick.
My parents' neighbors owned some Dairy Queens. They said that the people would only work up to the point where they would not earn more than they could claim their earned income tax credit, and then they would quit.

It is also common for people to work early in the year, then quit when the tax refund comes in (whether EIC or not).
