I suffer from both. Prozac helps a lot. Also weed is very helpful to prevent one in a high stress situation.

Anybody thats never experienced a full on, full scale panic attack doesn't have a clue how terrifying they truly are.

I’ve had some minor anxiety my whole life, but didn’t really understand what it was, and I have had a few panic attacks. My biggest was about 5 years ago. People say that heartburn comes from anxiety and panic attacks. For me, I feel it the other way around. I get heartburn and that raises my anxiety.
I wanted to avoid medication, so I had to figure out ways to beat anxiety.
1. Stop overeating. I’m not not very overweight. Overeating causes my heartburn.
2. Stop over drinking
3. Breath. Not just when I feel anxious
4. Exercises. I love to exercise, but my body is starting to feel old and I can’t quite do what I want to, but I push to try to do something 3 days a week.
5. Prayer
I feel embarrassed telling people about anxiety and panic attacks because you’re supposed to be a man and be tough and not let shite bother you. But I have noticed that confiding in someone about them can help a lot. It doesn’t even have to be a doctor.
I remember having one at work where I was freaking out. My chest hurt. My brain was running at 200 mph. Coworkers didn’t even notice. People would talk to me directly and I couldn’t process anything they were telling me, all I could think was “can’t you tell I’m freaking out right now?” I really feel transparent about all of it, but my wife tells me I hide it well and that no one knows.
