Ecuador for me. Grandkids are an issue for many. Our kids are around the globe so it's not a big diff. Kinda nice to live at a vacay destination. A lil more inviting than just a weekend at the parents house.

I wish I could have gotten in on this thread earlier. My biggest questions to retirees is did you under estimate or over estimate the amount of money you need a month. This question applies to those that retired on a fixed income.

Going on five years. No more deadlines, no more stress. Never been so relaxed in my lifetime. Pension, SS, and plenty socked away during 39 yrs of butt busting have left me set financially, so far. Hope I can keep socking it away and won't have to touch my savings (except when RMD's roll around). Keeping good health is now the priority for the wife and I.
