Nah, it's still pretty great. Gonna buy a house in the San Juans one day and then die in that big earthquake they predicted.

Neither Biden nor Inslee won any of the 3 most populous counties east of the mountains. Neither actually won a single county other than Whitman (WSU professors, staff, students are the majority there), east of King County. So even the central WA/cascade mt counties are conservative. The political disparity between A few large western WA metros and the rest of the state is rather enormous.

You don't seem to understand what proportions mean. Yakima went 53-45 to Trump, whereas Pierce went around the same proportions in the opposite direction. I was speaking to the reference that the Sound is blue dots surrounded by purple, where it seems to be the case that most of the state is purple with centers of red and blue, save for a few counties, like King and Lincoln where the proportions were more lopsided.

Way ahead of ya, but the inside passage is the San Juans on steroids. The best part, few people.

I can't speak on that. I was more talking about ocean, islands, forests, canyons, mountains, etc...

Oh I know, I've been to Alaska many times. I wouldn't mind Alaska at all.

Nah, the Battle for Seattle was the turning point for coastal Washington. I was at 4th and Battery, stuck in a building. They wouldn't let us leave.

Went from free spirits, to insanity.

Yep. Their “science” says they can be whatever they personally identify as.

Most of the counties in the state are red by a very healthy margin. King county is the sole reason for Washington politics being what they are. There aren’t any purple counties left in the state, local representation in terms of red or blue hasn’t changed in the past 30 years.

Sounds like JNU. People who virtue signal the most are usually the angriest, and most confused.
That and none of those that they signal for actually live or create havoc in their safe zone.

It's the same as me in Louisiana telling someone in Alaska in the middle of winter to not to bitch about cold and ice

I guess we're just talking about completely different things, man. The WTO riots had pretty much zero impact on the things I enjoy doing. Especially since going to or hanging out in Seattle itself is not one of those.

Most people in the state don't live in those counties though. And what a sterling insight. A large populous area can control state politics.

I do plenty of that, I would welcome the help. It seems women get lots of attention posting how tired they are of winter come Feb of every year.

Almost the entirety of the pacific northwest is red outside of metropolitan areas.

This can be said for the entire country. Rural America is red, and it’s no secret.

But take a look at 2020 presidential election results for WA:

I wouldn’t argue with that Roger guy. He boasts about living in Alaska and have such a fabulous life and pretends to be happy. But his post count and constant arguing of politics says otherwise.

He’s pretty not worth your time.

Are you a Washingtonian? These threads appear monthly (it feels like) and they usually end up with me and northshorebamaman talking about weed or other random things to do in the area where we both happen to live.

Have fun during the winters

Wanted my family to hold onto property in Anacortes but I'm not the boss yet unfortunately.
