That’s the thing, they can’t have a ceiling. The only thing that makes them relevant is their next manufactured outrage. If they achieve something they have to immediately move the bar and demand you acquiesce to the new insane demand.
That’s why you don’t give in to them, even a little. It’s never enough.

I have an 11 yo nephew that's a hugger. Every so often, I'll tell him that if he feels he's too big to hug his old uncle, that's ok. He inevitably responds with a big smile, says "NEVER" and wraps me up.
