I think the biggest contributing factor would be due their parents still supporting them & allowing them to live at home indefinitely. I was 18 when I got my 1st apt & bought my 1st home at 21. So while I may not have had as much $ saved, I also real bills. I was adulting since my Sr yr of high school. I'd have saved a small fortune if I lived with mommy & daddy another 15yrs. Who wouldn't?
