Some of the stories can be pretty entertaining for my kids even if they are too young to understand the big picture.
If so,

I don’t usually like attending church.

Admin: What's the point of the anchor here? What is harmful about this thread? Why not grant the freedom here that you do with a whole bunch of other garbage?
Where does the fear come from?

They’ve been auto anchoring all religious threads for a couple years.

My personal religious views have nothing to do with feeling obligated to attend a church.
We do have great church that we do attend occasionally (my husband more than me and the kids) and that the kids like. If it ever dies off I can’t say I’ll try to find another one.
Church can be great for those trying to learn more or needing a community but it can also be horribly destructive if ran by the wrong person/people. I don’t ever want to push my kids into some situation where they are mislead or taught things that I don’t support.
I’m not very conservative so sometimes I can’t relate with more traditional churches/ their views.
Whether I go or don’t go, my views are always the same:
God exists. Be nice. Work hard.
I don’t feel like that’s too much to impose on a child.
