There is a local police officer whose hand got bitten by a pit. When dog jumped on him he dropped his pistol. He couldnt get hand out of dogs mouth so he grabbed dog by the collar and shoved his arm down into the dogs throat. Kept it there till the dog was dead.

Had a bunch of stitches but at least the dog wont ever bite anyone.
