Everyone says allergies are worsening every year. Why?

That depends on which scientific theories you want to believe.

1) Mild winters and earlier springs are creating longer pollen seasons. This also creates more overlapping between various pollen allergens, which can cause mild sufferers to have more intense reactions.

2) We have become hyper clean as an industrialized society. Our bodies no longer are bombarded by the level of bacteria it was designed to fight off. Vaccines and other prophylactic measures ensure that we never have to deal with the worst offenders. So our body now turns to other foreign particles to attack, which is why we have become hypersensitive to so many types of so called allergens.

The pollen was so bad in Central AL over the weekend that the tweakers were all trying to turn their meth back into Sudafed. Seems a bit better today though.

Allergies aren't killing me yet, knock on wood. Been doing pretty well staying on the Zyrtec. Still sporadically feeling run down probably due to that but not out of commission.
