Mine offers pay as you go and that is the only option.

I am seeing a chiropractor for the first time. The chiropractor laid out a 7 week treatment plan, 3 days per week.

It almost felt like dealing with the finance guy at a car dealership. Is this the normal procedure followed by chiropractors? Most doctors send you a bill after filing with insurance but they do not do that, is this normal?

No. Chiropractors like this one give the entire profession a bad name. If you’re intent on getting chiropractic treatment, work with one who files with your insurance and treats you only the number of times you need to heal or until you’ve had enough. That’s what’s normal.

Is this covered under your current health insurance? And if it isn't, ask yourself why that is.

Any provider that only accepts payment at time of service is either great or the bottom of the barrel.

3 times a week should only last 1-2 weeks. Then a couple of weeks a 2X then taper off to 1 then none when all is good.

3X per week for 7 weeks is ridiculous.

Consider going to a medical doctor. My brother-in -law, a skilled surgeon has been called in to harvest organs from a patient that went to a chiropractic “doctor”. Her spinal cord was snapped from an “adjustment”. Payment should be the least of your worry.
