Turn it off. You really want to trust the rusting plastic knobs on your shitty grill to keep the propane from leaking out?

Anyone who leaves it open is asking for trouble. Not only do I leave it off, but I store the tank in a large Rubbermaid container with holes drilled into it that is placed at least 100 feet from my home. I also have the tank wrapped in a coat of old phone books that I've collected over the years. One can never be too careful.
