I inherited nothing. Started a business 6 months before ready but my employer died and had to change quickly. Neither of my parents had any idea about owning and running any business though in the 1950's they were part owner of liquor store in Beaumont. Dad said the rang up NO SALE on register often as in PHUCK the IRS

Worked in my field 7 years for larger companies as a young buck straight out of school. Financial services industry and i was approached by partners to open as an independent. They put up the capital but i built the business from the ground up. Long hours. Good times and bad, wife and kids at home, failure not an option, did whatever it took. Opened in 1984 bought them out in 2000, still here. For every positive in the universe there will be a negative-early on buy what you need not what you want. The financial rewards will come with commitment, hard work and sacrifice. Chart your own course--Good Luck

IF you can own a biz---own one!

The tax system is set up for you
I would put away $44k tax free in my 401k on a good year
