You'd think these statues would serve to start a conversation. I mean, how many inner city young kids have a clue who Robert e Lee is? They might have never known except for the fact his statue was in a high traffic area of a major city and has been in the news.

Good or bad the question of who he was has come out of his placement in prominent locations.
